Little Bit About Prague

Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic, located in the western part of the country. The original name Praha comes from the Czech word práh - meaning threshold, and it refers to the princess Libusza.

Things To Do/See In Prague

Above you can see how the astrological clock works

The clock is in the tower of the Old Town Hall, every hour figures appear outside, describing something else. More information can be found in the book "Art and History of Prague".

There are statues of thirty saints on the bridge, the bridge connects two districts of Lesser Town and Old Town. The bridge was designed by Peter Parler, who was commissioned to build the bridge. This is an attraction that you must definitely visit while in Prague.

- Hradcany, the Royal Castle -

Another attraction worth seeing is the Royal Castle in the Hradčany district. While on the Charles Bridge, you can see the Castle from it as it is located on the high bank of Prague. An interesting fact is that the castle is listed in the Guinness Book of Records because it is the largest Castle in terms of area in the world.

In the same district where the Royal Castle is located, there are many more monuments and attractions, which include:
- Schwarzenberg Palace
- The Powder Tower
- The Old Royal Palace
- or even the Golden Lane

Hope you liked all the blog posts I posted. Thank you for your support throughout this period of posting these travel blogs. I hope that you were interested enough in any of the cities to add them to your list and visit them soon.

Scotland - Edinburgh - Things To Do, See

Welcome to my blog for the third time 👋👋. Today's post will be about the capital of Scotland, Edinburgh. I will present you places worth seeing in the magical capital of Scotland.

Little Bit About Edinburgh
Gael. Dùn Éideann, A city in Great Britain with a population of over 500,000. Since 1999, the city has been the seat of the Scottish Parliament. Edinburgh is much smaller than Glasgow, although it is much more often visited by tourists or even for leisure by local people. It was in Edinburgh that the Harry Potter novel was created, whether the outstanding actor Sean Connery also came from there.

Things To Do/See in Edinburgh

- Royal Mile -

It is a historic street that is worth walking through because of its nature and the number of streets, alleys that used to be teeming with life, leaving behind great views for fans of photos.

- Edinburgh Castle and Princes Street Gardens -

The castle is situated on a hill overlooking Edinburgh. Every day at 1 p.m. you can hear and see a shot from the local military cannon. In addition, you can visit the castle from the inside, where the museum is located, and numerous artifacts from earlier years. Below the castle is Princess Street Garden, which can be used as a stopover and as a rest, allowing you to enjoy the beautiful scenery. An interesting fact is that in this garden there is an annual Christmas Market.

- Museums - National Museum of Scotland
and Scottish National Gallery -

Another attraction worth visiting are the free museums with exhibits depicting the world at the turn of the centuries. The museums are completely free, it is worth spending a few hours visiting them because you can see many works of many renowned artists here.

Other Things To Do/See
In addition to the places I have listed above, Edinburgh has a lot more to offer that are worth visiting, such as:
- Edinburgh Zoo
- many viewpoints (Arthur's Seat, Holyrood Park, Scott Monument)
- Portobello

For more information, I invite you to visit VisitScotland where you can take a closer look at places worth visiting.

Until soon in the last post on my blog, the destination will be Prague 😉.
